The five elements –
A guide to balance
In traditional Far Eastern medicine, the five elements play a special role. They are like an inner compass, helping us to better understand our lives, our health, and our well-being. Each element—wood, fire, earth, metal, and water—represents specific qualities, forces, and rhythms of life.
Shiatsu – a living cycle
The five elements do not function in isolation – they exist in a dynamic cycle. Just as the seasons change, so too does the energy within us transform. If one element becomes unbalanced, it can affect our physical or mental well-being.
Just as the five elements give us a picture of the rhythms of life, the concepts of Yin, Yang and Ki also help us to better understand our inner balance.
Shiatsu perceives this cycle and gently connects with what you feel in this moment. Through mindful touch, blockages are released, energy is restored to flow, and the elements are invited to realign themselves.
In this way, Shiatsu can help you find your inner rhythm and reconnect with yourself.
I would be happy to accompany you on this path back to your center.
